Congratulations on your YouTube channel
Thanks so much, Iris!
Hey Dr. Nay!
First I want to say, Congrats on the launch of your youtube channel! Omg that is super exciting 🙂 This was a great piece and oh so true. A lot of times, I find that men can be more “sensitive” than women in that regard. When a man is hurt, they are really hurt and it very difficult for some men to move pass that hurt. While on the other hand, some women experience similar things but still have the capacity to be open for love. I do not mean that to man bash in any way but due to societal norms of men being being “macho” and not normalizing the need for men to express feelings that contradict the idea of strength; this has contributed to a culture of men not dealing with their emotions which can be a huge hinderance to their own healing. Consequently, we see this portrayed in the behaviors that you mentioned. The ironic thing is that being vulnerable requires a great deal of strength and when I manifest on what kind of man that I want… a healed man is at the top of the list! We all have our baggage and must take active roles in our own healing.. as this is our own responsibility and no one else’s. This poem hit it on the head!
Thanks for the well wishes, Kimberly!! No, you did not male bash but spoke from your heart and experience. I agree with you about wanting a strong man who can be open enough to healing his heart and welcome a healthy relationship!
